Terms of Use
How bookings, payment, weather, and tent care work for Cozy Canvas Camp.
These terms govern your use of the Cozy Canvas Camp website and our mobile backyard glamping services. By sending an inquiry, booking, or using the tent, you agree to these terms and our tent guidelines. If you book for a group, you are responsible for making sure everyone on site follows them.
A written rental agreement (email, text, or PDF contract) for a specific booking may add details. If that agreement and these terms conflict, the written booking agreement controls for that stay.
Who we are & what we provide
Cozy Canvas Camp is a mobile backyard glamping service based in Woodbridge, New Jersey. We deliver, set up, furnish, and pack out a 16-ft bell tent at a private residential yard (or another location we approve in advance). We typically book one or two tents per address for date nights, kids sleepovers, family staycations, and small celebrations — not large multi-tent weddings or event campuses.
Every stay includes memory-foam beds in the layout you choose, hotel-style pillows and bedding, Boho Glow default styling, ambient lighting, exterior string lights, and setup plus pack-out. You use your own home bathrooms, kitchen, and Wi‑Fi. We do not provide portable restrooms, showers, full heating or air conditioning, on-site staffing, babysitting, or camping gear for you to keep.
Service area
We serve homes across the Central New Jersey area, including parts of Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, and Union counties. Edge-of-area bookings may be possible depending on date and route. Travel inside our usual area is included in the first-night rate; travel or access outside that area may be quoted separately. See our service area. We may decline a location that we cannot reach safely or set up properly.
Inquiries are not reservations
The Book page is an inquiry form with a live estimate — not instant checkout. Submitting the form, texting, or emailing does not hold a date. A booking is confirmed only when we agree in writing (email or text) on the date, address, layout, add-ons, total, and payment, and any required deposit is received.
Website prices are starting rates and may change. Current published starting rates include $500 for the first night with one tent (delivery, setup, and pack-out included), $200 per extra night per tent, $500 for a second tent’s first night at the same address, $100 for hard-surface / sandbag setup, from $200 for a custom theme we approve, $150 for projector & screen setup, and $50 per s’mores kit. Bed layout does not change the base rate. Estimates on the website are not a final quote.
Payment & deposits
We do not process cards on this website. After we confirm your quote, payment is handled manually (for example Venmo, Zelle, cash, or another method we agree on). A deposit is typically required to hold your date. The exact deposit amount and due date are shared when we book. The remaining balance is due before or at setup, as agreed in writing.
Cancellations & date changes
- If you cancel 7 or more days before setup, the deposit is refundable minus a $50administrative fee, or you may reschedule once to a mutually available date within 90 days.
- If you cancel fewer than 7 days before setup, the deposit is forfeited. Any unpaid balance is not charged if it has not yet been paid.
- If we cancel (including for severe weather or safety), you receive a full refund of amounts paid or a free reschedule to a mutually available date.
- Guest-requested date changes depend on availability and must be confirmed in writing. Peak weekends and holidays may have less flexibility.
Weather
We operate year-round, but every booking is weather-dependent. Canvas handles light rain when zippers stay closed. We may reschedule or cancel for severe storms, high winds, flooding risk, extreme heat or cold, or any condition we believe is unsafe or unlikely to be comfortable. We do not include HVAC. Dress for the forecast and use the bedding we provide. Only use heaters or devices we provide or explicitly approve. Open flames and unapproved heaters inside the tent are not allowed.
Your yard, access & lawn
You agree to provide a mostly flat, clear area about 21 feet across for one tent, plus a reasonable path from the street or driveway for poles, canvas, mattresses, and décor. Grass is ideal for staking. Patio, turf, or other hard surfaces may require a sandbag setup (quoted as an add-on). Tell us about sprinkler lines, irrigation, or anything buried in the setup circle — we cannot see underground.
A tent can flatten or yellow the grass, especially in heat or on a longer stay. That is a normal part of backyard glamping. We cannot restore the lawn afterward. Prefer no stakes? Choose the hard-surface / sandbag option when you inquire. Someone 18 or older must be reachable and able to provide yard access on setup and pack-out days.
Guest responsibilities
You and your guests must follow our tent guidelines, including: no shoes inside; no smoking, vaping, open flames, or cooking inside; no food or drinks on beds; no pets inside; no glitter, confetti, slime, paint, or markers; no climbing walls or poles; only approved devices; keep zippers closed when practical; and leave a clear path for pack-out. Kids are welcome under adult supervision — the tent is lodging, not a playground. You are the host; we do not stay overnight or run the party.
Normal wear is expected. Damage from misuse, prohibited items, or ignoring the guidelines may be charged for cleaning, repair, or replacement. Tell us about any issue right away.
Safety & insurance
Outdoor stays involve inherent risks (weather, insects, uneven ground, temporary structures). Guests participate at their own discretion. You are responsible for your property, guests, and any outdoor fire features you provide, which must stay a safe distance from the canvas. This rental is not a substitute for homeowner or renter insurance. If you are hosting a larger gathering, check with your insurer about liability.
Photos
We may photograph the tent and setup (not faces without permission) for our portfolio unless you ask us not to when you book. You may photograph your stay for personal use.
Website use
Site content, photos, logos, and copy are owned by Cozy Canvas Camp unless noted. Don’t copy them for commercial use without permission. Styled photos may be mockups; final setups use our real gear and can vary by yard and layout. Third-party links (including Facebook and Instagram) are provided for convenience; we don’t control those sites.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cozy Canvas Camp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the website or our services, including lost enjoyment, travel costs, or lawn discoloration from a normal setup. Our total liability for a booking will not exceed the amount you paid us for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under New Jersey law.
You agree to indemnify Cozy Canvas Camp against claims arising from your guests’ misuse of the tent, failure to follow the guidelines, or injury or property damage you or your guests cause, except to the extent caused by our own negligence.
Privacy
How we handle inquiry and booking information is described in our privacy policy.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date below will change when we do. Continued use of the site or a new booking after an update means you accept the revised terms. Existing confirmed bookings keep the cancellation and refund terms we agreed to in writing for that stay.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in courts located in New Jersey, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
